So I've been doing some reading for School and just read this passage.
psychology class:
Ataque de Nervios is a culture specific disorder which is an anxiety based disorder found among latinos. Its symptoms are trembling attacks of crying, screaming uncontrollably and becoming verbally or physically aggressive. Latino cultures place less emphasis on self control and emotional restraint than other western cultures. So the distress of panic disorder tend to be externalized in the form of screaming, uncontrolled behavior and aggression. In contrast to western cultures the distress of panic is usually coped with avoidance, and withdrawal strategies.
