I totally understand the hard work with buns. I've rescued two. One I got from a school that could no longer have her anymore..and she was a total wreck.. bonding her to my rabbit Floppy at the time was one of the best things for her.
Coral...whom I still get very very very emotional about, I rescued from a farm that was breeding them (Californian breeds) for meat. He was just barely 7 weeks at the time in the winter... but he was by far my most bonded rabbit experience.
Magnum.. is stubborn, and is a total spoiled brat; he knows it. He has a huge condo I made out of those cubes.. I'm just waiting for him to get a bit older and reach the more relaxed/don't have to chew and destroy everything stage. He's definitely a bun that like his own space, and will cuddle only on HIS terms. Hahaha...
I'm SO glad Alaska is doing well in your care; I definitely see why you'd not want to give her up at this point.
I was at the shelter as I take my clients to help socialize the cats there once a week, and this one rabbit is STILL there... I would LOVE to adopt him and the other bunny there; but I don't live in my own house.... it's heart breaking...
