in the temping game, you're constantly forced to meet and interact with new people. i've answered the same damn questions about where i'm from and what i like to do so many times, i've started thinking it would be fun to just start lying and make up a whole new identity. i knew it would need to be with someone very gullible, because i am a very bad liar. so when this guy today asked me if i believed in superman, i knew i had found the one. (unrelated but equally confounding: he also said, "i want to study everything, because if i master everything, i will be seen as a god." i would expect this manner of behavior from an old, schizophrenic crackhead, but this guy seemed otherwise normal, and was scarcely older than me.) i started slowly, because it was my first time trying it, but apparently, i have a "22 year old younger brother" who is serving eight to twelve for a bank robbery. oh, and i drive a trans am, from "somewhere in the seventies".
