I guess I was taken just a bit back. When you're starting to get to know someone and they mention their family doesn't express emotions and they have a really hard time saying I love you, you don't expect for a year or so in. Or maybe that's just me.

Either way, it got discussed the following day and we're on pretty level playing ground now. oh lordy, this is when the fun starts, huh?
