The industry in which I work (deeply I might add) is rampant with uneducated buffoons who make shitloads of money. They do not know how to read, type, text, fax, answer or receive phone calls, in an effort to sell, buy, market or represent their product nor can they hold any sort of mundane/obvious/necessary/legal conversation. They don't need to know these things you see, because all they need to learn how to do is tell people what line to sign upon.
It can be draining. If you let it be. For me, it is mostly amusing. I have really never met such stupid people in my life, and I have met a LOT of stupid people.
I observe people for quite some time before I formulate my position or stance with them. I watch and analyze and compartmentalize so as to better understand who I am in their eyes. It is funny, because most of them don't comprehend the power and control I have within this company so when they join us all fresh and new and ignorant and full of themselves I have to laugh (a little...inside). But these are the most insecure people you will ever meet. Their entire self worth is based upon what others tell and show them it is.
Sometimes it is ignorant youth. Sometimes it is pampered entitlement. Sometimes it is just stupidity. But regardless of the person in front of me, of whom I have nearly 200 to manage, they STILL never cease to amaze me.
How this ended up being my lot in life is beyond me.
I was a ROCK GODDESS fer crissakes!
