In lieu of my most recent and presumably negative rant I shall segue with a book. I am currently reading "How to Be Good" by Nick Hornby. It is kind of meh in comparison with his other stuff but I intend to get through it all the same. There are some segments (as he is telling this all from the protagonist woman's perspective) that really, really hit home for me. I have enclosed just one of those. The part about creating another fearful confused human being. Man, that shit speaks to me. I wonder when that moment comes that you feel okay about your kids and that they feel okay as well. When you are not consumed with worry about and for them. If you ask my mother she'll tell you it only gets worse as they get older. But that could be her kids more than her parenting.
