Working for Da Man...
Literally. So I suppose I should really attempt some sort of update here...a little over a month ago there were some major shifts in the atmosphere at work - i mean like GINORMOUS shifts, all of which left me with a rather huge promotion - GINORMOUS even and my workload increased about 10x. It has been exhilarating and exhausting and awesome and I really am proud of myself and love what I do for a living. This has, however, left my weeknights enveloped in children and my fella and sleep....ah, precious sleep. And our weekends have become so incredibly peaceful and centering and like a genuine oasis in the midst of a rising and vast hot plane of work. I am content. And have I mentioned I am working my ass off? Sam has been sending me incredible mixes and downloads to listen to during the work day - keeps the tribe close during those hours. Eh - well - that's the scoop. Littlest guy of the indescribable adorable sort is going to be ONE YEAR OLD next month - cannot believe it. He is such a funny fellow - mischevious and bright and funny and charming and beautiful. What a fine little man he is already. And such an effing stinker too. He has figured out to seriously cruise in his walker - and he finds the word "no" hilarious (as I type this he is banging into the trashcan and trying to pull it over - all the while laughing maniacally as I say, "Sebastian...no...no...no..."). He is also rather fond of his own nads and what not. Delighted with them even. Well, you know, he likes his parts. Had "the talk" with the princess last week - oh my - but I reacted in much the same way when I went through this with my parents - and as I told jules, I had that unfortunate talk because I had walked in on them in full getting it on mode and I nearly died. I didn't talk to or look my mother in the eyes for a week. And I yelled at them! During their nookie! I yelled, "I thought you were TIRED!" Ack! What a freak. Anyway, we got through it and I bought her "Chicken Soup for the Soul for Girls" and now we're all about the girl developing and boy crush and bra talk...all the time...I get text messages from her...with images. And sound.
We all watched "Little House on the Prairie" last night. It is the beginning of the series on TVLand so it was the very first episode. I teared. Twice. It was touching. Sue me.
So that's it.
That's the gist of it.
Yup.
Catch y'all on da flipside.
