Well, I finally made it out of Rhode Island..Pheww, that took some doing. I arrived in Port Angeles two days ago as penniless as I've ever been in my adult life. I got to my cabin on my friend's property and the grass was nipple high, so I tried to mow it but ran out of gas. I started building my kitchen cabinets, which is going pretty well, at least for a non-finish carpenter. I worked on them until about 10 tonight.
I had an epic cross country trip, including some great birding in cleaveland, Colorado and Oregon. I even got two lifers, Mountain Plover and Mccown's Longspur. The town that I saw them in was promptly turned to splinters by a tornado that left one man dead.As I was driving out of there, tumbleweeds were literally passing me, as the wind was so strong.
I am totally overwhelmed right now, as I have to get my Soccer Zulu website up to ride the tide of the momentum that seems to be building. I have to work on my cabin, and I just got a job at the boat yard that I worked at last year to try and make some cash so I can make my loan payment at the end of the month. I am deffinately glad to be on the west coast, and live in a place where I can create a life for myself, governed more by laws and ideas that I create and invent, rather than those that are imposed on me by cultural norms, and scrutinizing people. Oh well, at least I've got a box of wine.
Sorry for not blogging more, in the past little bit. I've really been scrambling. I'm pretty hyped on the response I've been getting from people about my vids though, and am inspired to work hard and long and finally get Drewtube up and running. I have a dream and can't wait to share it. It's kind of a nebulous thing to me right now, but it will materialize like the phoenix, and then it will vanish like a turd in a toilet, but it'll be cool while it lasts though.
