Well, I haven't been too talkative on here, mainly becasue I tend to feel that blogging is kind of like talking to myself. I suppose it's ok, as long as I don't start responding to my own blogs...
Anyway, today I heard a bit of news on the radio that struck a nerve, and I felt compelled to share it with whomever stumbles upon this.
7 years ago I was vegan, and i was vegan for about 7 years before that as well... During that time period, it seemed like i was constantly explaining and defending my diet to just about anyone i knew who had never taken the time to think about where the food on their table comes from. i don't know if any of those conversations ever caused anyone (especially the repeat offenders... you know the type) to rethink or research anything they had previously taken for granted, but being that those were pre-Google days, my gues is probably not. Today however, I would like to think that someone somewhere was watching the news and remembering one of those conversations.
In case you missed it, you can read it here...
NYT
or watch parts of the video that started it all (i will spare you the embedded video)...

OK. I am done talking to myself about this matter. Have a pleasant evening, and I know I am most likely preaching to choir here, but take a moment to consider where your food comes from.

I remember having similar type frustrating conversations years back when I was a vegetarian, the point never seems to come across to the other party, i'm sure you know.
