Splendid Ocean Hotel
I go where I please.
Reckless and fantastic, I walk through walls and into wombs.
I am mighty amongst most.
Headstrong,
Footweak,
Fell and fallen,
Pushed and pulled
Along the boardwalks,
Harrassed and hammered
by hailing hawks
In the form of little compliments,
They criss and cross
Against my chest
And scar like permanent memos.
The Splendid Ocean Hotel
Lies east of the border
Of nowhere and nothing,
Landlocked and lovelost
I eat a little supper.
