Stuck in the City last night; the Bay bridge was closed off with police cars and flares. Most days I am impatient with the concept of suicide. Last night produced no moment of rare sympathetic revelation.
I phoned Albertine as I spun the truck back towards the direction of 18th and Castro. "Would it be alright if I crashed wherever you guys are crashing? I can't go home at the moment."
A cozy air mattress in the inner Richmond waited for us under leopard print. I squeezed in with Albertine and Bunny while Dusty pulled out the hideaway with Mascia in the next room. I fell asleep exhausted to the sound of sugar cookies being nibbled on by an Italian lesbian.
This morning -- wide awake but unshowered and low on gas -- I opted for breakfast bagels and coffee with my two new favorite SGs in lieu of class. I also have tomorrow off.
Someone in their right mind might feel guiltily slackerish at this point. Wouldn't they?
