My homeboy over on the west side got a bigass hdtv. But since the fool likes to buy movies in fullscreen everything looks all stretched out of proportion (this is also the same guy that, for some reason, can't tell the difference between SG and a fuck flick. He thinks girls tying each other's hands constitutes pornography. Please excuse rant.). My smug sense of satisfaction is well-founded. Buy the proper format. If you just want to see a little piece of a movie in stead of the real thing then catch it on hbo.

I only ever watch movies on my pc's anymore, so format doesn't make much difference. I'm not a tv/movie person. But my brother and my exbf can be pretty anal about whether movies are wide-screen edition or have director comments, etc. I'm happy with a badly scratched bootlegged copy out of Malaysia, if I have to watch something.
