This weekend at fright night has been pretty lame. Thursdays are always slow because it's a school night but fridays and Saturdays are always really busy. Thursday was really slow and was only saved by the late night show that we di for all the employees of the park. I don't think I've ever heard an audience that loud ever. It was great way to end a shity day.
Last night (Friday) we started off slow but were ready for some big crowds later as there was a big show at the ampitheater that was sure to send some business our way when it let out. but in the middle of our show the heavens opened and it rained like I have never seen it rain before. We still stayed open till midnight and did shows but there was barely and audience to perfrom for. Not To mention I really don't like doing burlesuqe in the rain. I spend so much time and mmoney on my costumes so the thought of taking them off and throwing them on the wet ground is really upsetting to me. But the show must go on and I figured it out with a few minor adjustments. Next week I'm going ot come up with a Rain act that doens't have any feathers or anything on it so I don't have to stress the next time the weather gets bad.
The only upside to the day yesterday was a celebrity siting in the tent. I got on stage and looked out an there was Vanilla Ice. He was there with his family and really enjoyed the show. His 2 kids took a real liking to Mr Buggles The Fench Bulldog we have on tour with us. They were super sweet little girls. So even though I had to ruin a few costumes yesterday I cn now say I performed for Mr. Ice Ice Baby himself.
I wonder what tonight has in store for us.............

SO after Vanilla Ice you'd think I would be done with silly celebrities. But OH NO.....On Sunday night everyone from the sideshow went to see REO Speedwagon and STYX. Turns out they're all old friends with the owner of our show (He used to be the drummer in Badfinger so they all used to tour together or something) It was so cute all the STYX buys were so excited to get their photos taken with real sideshow people they were falling all over themselves. It was a pretty awsome night. The only thing that sucks was that we got to see their show but they didn't get to see ours. Oh well, I'm sure our paths will cross again.....
