Why is it called a semi? Is there a bigger big rig than a semi? What is it called? (oh god I can't wait for the penis jokes to ensue) Someone give me a real answer though, I've just been thinking about it for a while and haven't bothered to ask anyone until now.
Last weekend was great. My sister had a wreath making party at her house. I made one musical wreath with bells and musical script ribbon, and a "candy" wreath with plastic candy and gingerbread men. They both turned out killer, I got a lot of compliments on them.
Later that night my sister, her husband, his brother, me and the boys mother went out for dinner (it was their mothers birthday dinner) at Kens in Simi Valley (it's like Benni Hanna). It was absolutely wonderful! I've never had a more tender filet, it really did melt in my mouth.
Sunday the boys and I took MY mom and their dad to LACMA to see the Cezanne/Pissaro exhibit. I'm telling you, going to a museum with two people who major in art (and one in art history) is a treat in itself. When I started the exhibit I thought that Pissaro was a little too dreary, he mainly used grays and silvers and painted everything as is, no surprises while Cezanne used artistic license here and there to make his work stand out (the true modern artist). Near the end of the exhibit though I found that Pissaro changed his style a lot (he took up pointlissm, which I love) and Cezanne stayed pretty static. Being so close to each other and influencing each other through out their lives it was interesting to see one stray from the other in such a drastic step. Really great show.
This Saturday is my staff party and I am going with a most outstanding boy, some of you met him at Halloween. Eric approves of him and so does my family (big inside joke). I can't wait!
xoxo

p.s. For my own journal memory:
The Saturday after Thanksgiving said boy took me out to dinner at Macaroni Grill and then to Coldstone Creamery for dessert. We doodled on the paper table, we discussed religion, we talked about food. He drove us and he paid for everything. We also talked about our careers and our wishes, it's amazing some of the things I didn't know about him even though I've known him for 5 years.
