Definitely some action on tap today, last real road race of 2010, right outside scenic Chico, Ca.
Early start, got picked up at 3 fucking 45 a in the m after falling asleep at about 2:30 for a whopping total of 1 hour of sleep, 3 hour drive and to top it all off brought the wrong stupid clickity clackey bike shoes...
got lucky number 13, yeah yeah, found some cleats had to chase at the start, then...madness.
Field blown to bits less than half way in massive grim death for 40 or so miles, end of the day 4th, behind 2 straight bike pimps and one ass clown that rode kinda like a little school-girl (so un p-c I know, I love me some strong empowered women, but a school girl in a pro bike race would go over very well, so...).
Gambled it like you gotta and it almost worked out, nice to be back where it matters though. Its been a rough year but this is some sort of small consolation so Ill take it.
Fun day out with the boys, and back at home 12 hours later to enjoy a beer and a movie and get ready for an epic week of work in the might mighty ( and really crappy) Sands Convention center in vegas, Interbike 2010.
So....if anyone actually reads this (I suspect there may be 2 of you) and is in Vegas holler Im sure I can find some free time for a new friend. However since Im all but positive this will not happen, I will fill my time outside of crappy trade show land trying to lay low and stay sane in a city filled with madness.
Peace in the crease...
