It's about fucking time it got warm around here. This reminds me of the immortal words of the great Tom Tucker: "If you don't like the weather in New England, go back where you came from."
There's all kinds of talk about Summer now- got to play some disc golf today (I did well until I started drinking), got an invite to a tournament, planning has also begun for Wildwood XIII (beach ultimate in the Land of the Camaro).
This is a good transition- I've always said this is how the seasons should change: snow one weekend, 60 and sunny the next. I'm glad they got that weather machine working again.
I have now officially gone one week without having sex, and it sucks fiercely. It makes me sad for Wil, whose special lady is thousands of miles away, in France. He has more will power than anyone could have possibly imagined. And I'll know if that's true when he comes back from spring break.
Off to Greenfield for disc and Guiness.
Oh yeah- I hate this planet and everyone in charge. Alaskan wildlife refuge, gov't VNRs, and the usual; Iraq, civil rights, 1984, and all that. At least Huxley gave them soma. I'l take bliss, why hasn't anyone offered bliss?

On another topic, I live in AK, and ANWR is the size of, say, South Carolina. It can tolerate a few roads, pipelines, and drilling operations.
Perhaps people don't appreciate that Alaska is over twice the size of France, and that ANWR is by no means the only bit of unspoiled land left in Alaska - the immense Yukon Flats for example - or elsewhere in the US for that matter.
Just my $.02.
