Not only is it right now 7:05 ante meridian, I am horribly awake. I've tried; I've failed. Sleep has refused to come to me prior to the wee, unholy hours of morn for the last...very long time. I had set an alarm to get me springing from bed at 9 this morning, but realized after having got up three separate times between the hours of 4 and right now, that I might as well just forget about it tonight (to-morning!).
I shall do these things before succumbing to the knock-out punch of eventual sleep:
1. Take a walky to the post office. Mail various things, such as one RSVP to estranged cousin's wedding bearing a check in the box next to "I will not be in attendance." Also, spend an amount of money that will cause severe sour-face and sighing at teller window.
2. Visit bank. Speak with someone about something that will either make me say "Oh," a lot and leave disappointed, or be highly beneficial.
3. ... [There was a three...what is it? It's lying on a scribbled Note to Self somewhere.]
School begins this week; Wednesday. Uh huh.
I've had many a scatterbrained thought dinking around my head as of late. I have also begun to make myself quite flighty and a little difficult to be around me, because I'm giving myself unnecessary butterflies-in-stomach. I guess I really can't keep anything to myself, like somebody once said.
Wholly unrelated: I want the potential house that's being built across the street from my own to be completed, and become a house already. However, I do not want people to live in it and give me neighbors. We have plenty. And I'll lose my little chunk of city that I was able to view when the old house was originally knocked down to give way to something newer.
I think I sound crazier on paper, or in type, than I do elsewhere.
And this is all for me, really.
Update as of 11:30am:
- Post office: done. Cheaper than expected.
- Bank: done. The results please me.
- Mystery errand: done. I believe this third task was only to remember what I had to mail.
Lots of pre-1960s Elvis, lots of Coca-Cola.

as far as half-built houses... they tore a building down by where i work, and yesterday I realized that it's absense provided something that I've never seen in NYC: space. it's so nice. there's space to breathe. you can see the buildings a block away. it's so nice. ack... i've been craving space lately, and missing the West. NYC's a bad place to be when you're craving space, and I'm sure this space won't last long. So I'll enjoy it while i have it
