.......in your blue blue tavern
you light my lantern.............
...the last weeks have been spent in another space and time it seems, a lot has happened, its quite z task to assemble it into a nutshellish type object....
...my good bud welldressedman was heading for the land of the uk, the smell of his homeland, so of course the weekend before ensured much drinking and merry times which seemed to just disappate and suddenly we were on our way to the airport at 4am in the morning........a nice crisp almost frostish morning also allow me to find some psychedelic fungi goodness on the way to auckland..heh....
...was an odd drive, almost surreal, as though i was in third person observing myself driving; velvet underground playing on the stereo, the warm comfort of the never-ending line of BP Connects, the silence of the world....time seemed to disappear and before we knew it, the airport was upon us.....
...i love airports, they are strange and cool at the same time, made me wish i was going on another adventure, nothing beats the feeling of leaving for somewhere unknown......we milled around for a while, grabbed some bacon and egg contraptions...something about airports and food, i fall victim to the fast amount of food on offer...hehe, ive never seen a full grown man DEVOUR a meal as fast as welldressedman did, must have been the baggage of nerves?, made me smile and laugh all at once....may he supp many a vast meal and bev in the kingdom
...the plane departed into the blanket of the sky, i floated into auckland just as the crosstown traffic was starting to show signs of stirring.....arrived at my friends flat and disappeared into sleep for the day, enjoying every phase of the erratic weather outside the window....
my friends band Wolves on the Fold played a gig with Gods Q at the Kings Arms last Wednesday, i got some sweet photos of them, lost in that wonderous place music takes you too......was an awesome performance for their debut gig, a sonic assault with ridculous amounts of energy spinning through the air.....
....had a trippy weekend indeed thanks to the mushroom gods; me and my bud roshanne had a very intense, visually spectacular experience, i just love how beautiful music is when you are in that space...Abbey Road and Blood Sugar Sex Majick were creating symphonies of visions before my eyes......watching Jeff Buckley perform so real on the live dvd was almost a shamanic experience, the energy he puts in astounds me everytime, he is on fire....
......night got even more twisted, watching the mist roll in, sitting outside, burning stars in the sky, stillness of the world, conversation escalating into much weirdness and thought.....i became increasingly paranoid as to how bad food is, it al began last week when i was tripping with another good friend of mine, having been for a huge walk around the neighbourhood with his pitbull Zion, scored to the Mars Volta in our ears, we needed some kind of replenishment, of course in that state not much can be achieved that has not already been arranged......a trip to the freezer results in the appearence of two frozen pizzas's 'combination' flavour...in the zappa they go, what i see next terrified me, minscule strips of meat? lazily and lifelessly floating in this cheesy swampish type base, as if some kind of firehose has just washed away any topping that ever existed.....for what seemed like moments of enternity we mused and got quite angry over what seemed to us to be mans evil upon another man, why would you sell this shit for poison peoples bodies?,
...i get a tad depressed when i try to eat healthy, like hardout, as everything that good for you seems to hurt way more in a wallet that already has a tumbleweed blowing through the confines........
...flashback to previous narrative; this food conversation continued into the night, it seemed on every corner stood a drug merchant ready to sell you his preservative ridden food drugs, that only cripple you more yet you crave; this must stop we pondered.......well progress has been made. in quite an elevated state we went for a mission to the gigantuan beast that is Harvey Norman whereby Rich purchased a juicing beast, within seconds the roaming sharks had surrounded us with their sales pitches....twas quite amusing indeed, with have conducting some research prior to the visit to mr.Harvey we found the one we wanted, zapped that magical plastic card that leaves you alone for 55days and headed to an Organic fruit and vege store....wow just being in that sore made me feel better, yumm, it has very heavenly....
....like two eager kids wee burst through the door and rip open the box wth all the whizzing and whirring resulting in a divine juice experience, our first one being a mixture of carrot, beetroot, apple, kiwifruit and lots of fresh ginger, now the jucing beast is here all the time i can leave the horrors of shit food behind me, hehe
....what have people been listening to lately?
..im loving the new Queens of the Stoneage album and the new System of a Down, totally in love with Catpower and the Raincoats at the moment.....
....oh if any of you new zealand dudes could help me out....i am a huge fur patrol fan and used to have all the singles and everything, however since i moved ages ago they have sadly never been seen again, and i am dying for the songs Beautiful, Dominoes and Boiler Room.....i went to go get Starlifter the other day, but the store didnt have it...in the age of the internet i was wondering if one of you could send any of them to me to my gmail monster
thiswickedtongue@gmail.com
i would be so stoked, i really want to learn Beautiful on the guitar, yet i cant hear it...although ironically it came on the radio the other day, gone are the days when one would have a tape on stand-by for such an occasion!....but it made me melt and crave to hear it again
DESOLATION
peace out

i like to refer to it as dissapointingly good.
man, all yer talk of shrooms is making my mind water, there haven't been any around here in, shit over a year. i will admit to being a little jealous.
I'm thinking of moving to Queenstown next year. I need some excitement in my life heh.
