Ok, so I had a good, long, complete entry I was going to bring over here from the blog I keep for some of my friends, which would make it the first SG entry I've made in almost 2 months. It's down below, but I don't think that it can hold a candle to the news article that MisterSatan dug up here: HERE Oh well, here it is.
Taihen, desu ne?
Oh, my friend in Japan, she is so lonely there without a fetish for the Young and the Hentai. So distrought that she flirts with an old friend online as her only outlet.
Her ex-boyfriend. Taihen for me, or taihen* for her? I guess we'll have to compare notes when we wake up. Of course, since it's not my apartment being haunted by hina dolls**, I think I have the leg up on a good night's (/day's) sleep. So we talked of music, poetry, and bubble pipes, and it was good to talk to her. But yeah...taihen.
In other news, after nearly completing his Tier One class armor set, I'm sick of my 60 druid on World of Warcraft. If the guild needs another healer to shove between them and the bad guy with the big stick, cool. If not, I'm going to either find a class that I like playing that actually takes a few names of his own in PvP, or I'm hanging it up. Too much of a time investment to not enjoy it.
On the docket: sleep. I didn't do it all night. After that: cleaning. I was informed Thursday that le Fire Inspector is making a sweep of our apartments this monday, and since 80% of my dwelling probably qualifies as a fire or trip hazard, I think something ought to be done.
This feels like the most complete update I've had in a really long time. Oh, yeah, school: it sucks, but I'm not thinking about it this instant. In closing, to quote Semisonic, or at least to stealing one of their album titles, I am "Feeling Strangely Fine." Knock on wood, I hope it lasts.
*Taihen (adj-na,adv,n) (1) serious; grave; dreadful; terrible; (2) immense; enormous; (3) difficult; hard; Usually this gets used as, "oh, that's too bad, isn't it?"
**Hina dolls as in hina matsuri: "The Hina Matsuri or Doll Festival or Girl's Festival is celebrated on March 3. On this day, families with girls wish their daughters a successful and happy life. Dolls are displayed in the house together with peach blossoms. The doll festival has its origin in a Chinese custom in which bad fortune is transferred to dolls and then removed by abandoning the doll on a river." As I'm told, having hina dolls out now would be like having a dead Christmas tree still strung with lights displayed in your living room. Top it off that of the emperor and emperess set, the emperor was found in the back of a tiny closet, porcelin face cracked and hanging off, hand broken, really busted, the fact that she's been having waking nightmares, and finger, hand, and foot prints were showing up on her ceiling....The monks have been called in, the hina dolls are getting purified and ritually burned at the monastery, and she's sleeping a lot better now, I'm assured.
