Are you like me? Have you fallen into a cycle of monotony that just makes you want to scream? The same routine every day. Rinse. Wash. Repeat. The days on the calendar blurring into one another... biding your time until the next day off... slowly, painfully, helplessly transforming into, well, an asshole... Yes, it happened to your parents and now it's happening to you.
It seems like yesterday that we were a great distance from such a fate. Remember all the flattering things people said about you in college? Things like, "That's an interesting place for a tattoo.." or "I can't believe you drank that.." or even "when was the last time you slept?" Ah, the privileges of youth!
Can such glory be recaptured? As much as I'd like to have the flexibility and freedom of a "Starbucks Screenwriter", I probably wouldn't enjoy donating plasma to make rent on a junior studio in Santa Monica and/or riding the Big Blue Bus everyday.
Damn you sense of privilege and entitlement!!!
Well, I suppose we can drink of the cup of irresponsibility and nonsense in small sips now and then.
