Hi, I hope you're all well.
So, I'm using a foreign computer right now, as I am house sitting for a friend of mine. He has a really nice place in a pretty good part of town. I like it here I think. Ginger, the dog, is a attention whore. She's still a pup, though she's growing. She still thinks she can jump on up on me while I'm on the couch like she weighs 20 lbs. or something, but in reality she's way too big. She'll get it after a few more crashing falls on the hard wood floor.
Where I'm house sitting right now is actually where I'll be moving into the second week of July. The room I'll be living in is actually a converted one-car garage. The room gets a little warm in the summer I'm told, but otherwise, it's perfect. It's really big, so I'm planning on buying a queen sized bed. My room at home is pretty small, so I just had a twin. Being 6'4, it was a little tight. The bigger bed will definitely be a huge plus.
Er, rambled a bit there, sorry.
Anyway, nothing's really new with me other than the above. I'm feeling pretty good lately, and the usual stuff isn't getting me down too bad. I'm sure I'll get stressed and depressed again when college starts up in the fall, so I'll just enjoy this wave til then.
The clarinet and I are still fighting. I haven't played in over a month, which is the longest I've gone without practicing my whole life after starting in the 5th grade. I'm gonna be REALLY rusty when I start practicing again. I had a really shitty spring semester, and the clarinet and I had a little falling out after a terrible final exam performance and a crack in the bell, or the lowest joint of the instrument. Whew, I was pissed. For about a week there, I was ready to give up music alltogether. I got over it though, and after this little 'break,' it's back to the grinding stone as they say.
Ok, enough. Time for bed. I have a 9:20AM psychology class tomorrow, and if I don't get enough sleep, I usually miss the first half of the lecture.
Yippie,
Mike
PS - So I'm in school to be a musician. I guess that's what I want to be when I 'grow up'. Any solid plans on your end? What are you guys looking to do in the future as far as a job or career?
