It just occurred to me that I really missed not being able to go to the Blackheart Burlesque last year. The thing about being an artist (even an aspiring one ) is that you get used to long periods of solitude. If you're a chronic procrastinator, you probably pray for such moments.
I will admit I did get a lot more work done during Covid than I've probably gotten done over several years as a result of the majority of my social obligations and travel being put on indefinite hold. Eventually; however, you do need to recharge, and seeing the talented young women of the BB really did inspire me to want to get to work and create something, to develop some skills -- if only to count myself among the cools kids that even had a skill that anybody would be interested in.
Anyway, I'm tired of hermit life and I've got places I'd really like to visit this year.
And hopefully when October rolls around I'll be sitting front row (maybe next to a jedi again), with a sack of merch, stunned by an amazing song, or dance routine thinking to myself, "man, I need to get some skills too."

I need my life before covid too!

It seems covid hit Italy especially hard. It had been my intent to travel to Savona in 2020 for tango, but that's now indefinitely on hold.
