I get to see The Cat tonight. I haven't seen her in a year and a half. We're going out to dinner and then to a friend's birthday party. I wonder if I should tell her about certain events that took place at the Harbour House, and on Joe's boat. It'll certainly change the way she looks at me, although maybe not in a bad way. Everybody reads way too much into it.
This morning, I spent two hours in my easy chair reading "Diet For A New America", while I smoked almost a full pack cigarettes. I don't think John Robbins would have approved.
And why don't people call them packets of cigarettes anymore? It sounds so damn cool, like "Casablanca" and hard-boiled detectives. It must be brought back.
