I just got back from Spokanistan. Had a fun and relaxing time if not wild. I was surprised to find out that my little sister and her family came over from Tacoma. If I had known that, I would have not plonked down the $58.00 to Greyhound it and went with them but oh well!
Me and my Mom spent some time and discussed what I have been planning to do at the end of Summer and about going to school. In her motherly wisdom, she thought it would not be a good idea for me to move to SF right now considering I am recovering from my financial problems. She also pointed out that it would be alittle cheaper for me to go to school here since I am a longtime Washington state resident. Not only that, I went through my taxes and it is looking like I may owe the "wonderful" IRS people money. It's all fallout from my recent unemployment. All of this is going to put the cabosh on my plans to move to San Francisco. I will be staying in Seattle for another couple of years and get my BAA degree in Graphic Imaging and Printing. I will just have to make the best of it all. Don't get me wrong though. Regardless of what people have said, I do not hate Seattle! I just hate how it has changed. I lived here for 15 years and I know what it was like back then and what it's like now. I guess I am just burned out! Fortunately, there are still plenty of cool things to do so I am not going to suffer too much. I will just strive to get my degree and get a real job with that degree and I am outta here!
Besides that I go to hang out with some of the Spokane SG people on Saturday night. I got to meet Andromeda and saw
newbluecheer again. I met her in Portland through Ryan back in November. There was also another girl named Tara who is not on SG as of now but was a kickass time! I didn't realize Spokane could be fun! It's really not that bad there for a slightly smallish town. There are plenty of bars and clubs to go to. You just have to look and there's a lot of cool people. I got soooo smashed though! I also got a little sick towards the end of the night Damn Chicken Adobo! I am hoping to hang out with these people again. I am also planning another Portland trip again in the next couple of months so that I can hang out with the SG PDX people again. It looks like I am going to be doing a lot of my SG activities outside Seattle for the time being. Why? Since I do not want to flame anybody, you'll have to email and I will tell you about what happened between me and SG Seattle. It's a long, stupid story!
