After long months of being lost deep into the momentum of Sufjan Stevens and Danielson Famile, I have decided to become a christian. The only unfortuante part is that I don't believe in God. So I've done some bible reading, talking to christians, and I even stopped in at a church and still the sky looks empty. Hmmmm. Maybe one day I'll be praying and somebody will talk back to me, and I can just assume all these things about Abraham and angels and all these things. My friend asked me why not go the Eastern route and use my curiousities as a conduit to find more malleable and modern healthy beliefs and i just said...because I'm a westerner and not a tourist. When I walk into a church that history resonates with me unlike when I visited shrines in Tokyo. The tourist guide kept speaking crudely over the worshippers who were trying to pray in peace and i wanted to shoot my cracker-self.
