DONT EVER GET AN AMEX.
Hey guys. I don't know if I've ever told you, but I fancy myself a bit of a 'professional consumer." I love to research products and give feedback to companies to help them serve people better etc. I'm a dork about it and I love doing it. i"m one of those people that will help a friend shop just to brag about what I know in Fry's cut-out. So, on my long journey of product experience, I must advise all to never even think about applaying for an AMEX card. It has been the most long-winded, stressful experience (even worse than AOL).
Not only do they take a merchant's side for charges after scantily evidence is provided (typically, if your account proves to be claiming unjust charges often, then they question your sincerity), but they also continue let charges go through on a cancelled card for 6 months after 12 phone calls from me. Amazing. I don't know how they keep a single customer.
