DON'T EVER GET INTO MAKING MUSIC AS A HOBBY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!..............
It is the most expensive, addictive, degenerative disease out there. Every piece of equipment you buy, you will need to get the better one two months later as soon as you find out what it's limitations are. Because music is taken as a "serious" hobby, people mistakenly accept it's expenses as necessary, which makes it MORE dangerous. I'd rather have ea Forever 21 addiction, because then at least it's detriment would be more obvious and your friend and family would have some kind of intervention. But, with music, they're like... OH, THAT'S GREAT! GOOD FOR YOU and feed the fire..
Even things you don't need, such as avocado shakers, you end up buying them BECAUSE YOU'RE THERE and you have fantasies about fruit percussion and throwing them at the audience.
I just bought a Tascam US 122 Audio Interface. Then I find myself thinking: "NO, ONLY TWO CHANNELS!! I NEED 8!!!!" and the money making machine of the music hobby industry is further fed.
PS: Did anybody notice that disgruntled letter to the editor about me in Mercury this last week. I'm glad somebody is paying attention.
