Well, my weekend may have started on a slow note, but deffinitely ended in a most radtastic way.
Saturday was spent nursing my wounds from the previous week at work. I say that because it makes me sound like I got more accomplished than just watching a 10 hour Benny Hill marathon. I had a lazy ass day, despite having to go buy pants, which I still haven't done. I'll do that tomorrow... maybe.
Now, on sunday, I had to get up at 7:30, so I decided I would go to bed early. I was planing on staying up to watch LA Confidential since I still don't know how it ends, but made peace with the fact that I would go on not knowing how it ends. Then Mystery Men came on and I was up until 3:30 anyway.
Now, why did I have to get up at the ass crack of dawn (or as close to it as I'm ever going to get) on a day off? Because I went racing Mazdas. I got to drive an RX-8, MX-6 (the new Miata), and a Mazda 6. And not like test drive either, I actually got to go through a mini-racing school and then drive the heck out of those cars. Granted, since it was my first time, I didn't perform on par with professional racers, but I did about as well as any of the girlfriends that were dragged along. I had a lot of fun. I like it much more when I'm the only one on the course.
Then I ended the night with an all new Family Guy.
Of course, all fun was ended Monday when I had to go back to work. But it's all good... for that one breif moment, I was a racing star.
