I had to give my Mother-in-law a lift to work earlier and on my way back I noticed a very thick fog had started to roll in.
I have a lot of memories attached to fog.
The first one that always comes to mind is that old horror movie named "The Fog" wherein the ghosts of pirates come back to kill the descendants of those who betrayed them or some such bullshit, all I really remember is that is scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid.
Secondly, I remember this time that me and all my old friends from high school were out in this field behing my friend Kirks house because it was the middle of the night and we couldn't stand being locked up in his basement anymore due to the fact that we were all tripping hard on 357s and White Crosses. Well, there was a bad fog out and I happened to recall that Kirk has an irrational fear of Zombies so I went around to everyone and told them to drop into the fog on my signal and when they came up to make like an extra from Day of the Dead. So I gave the signal and we all dropped except for Kirk and then we all slowly rose a few moments later and started shambling toward Kirk and moaning. It was fucking hilarious. I swear to fuck I think he pissed himself.
And last but certainly not least is the day that Greg was taken from me. It happened very early that morning when he was on his way into work. There was a zero visibility fog out and his old Nova was white, just like everything else he owned, white to cancel out all the black I sported. He was at a four lane stop when he began to pull out and the Semi hit him. They say he didn't suffer, that he died instantly. There's that much to be thankful for I suppose.
Come to think of it, I fucking hate the fog.

Have a great weekend sweetie
I've started reading the first Drizzt book and it's pretty good. I had avoided them for a while because I avoided the D&D book tie-ins. I'm probably going to finish the series. Hadn't even thought of movie versions. I could see Law in the role though.
Hope you get a chance to see Sky Captain soon.
