AHHH! I just did the hardest thing!!!

My parents don't know I have tattoos and would kill me. Like never talk to me again. I'm pretty close to them and it'd be terrible news. Well I want to get a tattoo for my father cause he isn't doing so well. I sent him an email asking him to recall a story I love about an adventure he once had with a friend. I asked for details with it explaining that I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of it becaus eI've been deliberating over family tattoos.

The reason my parents don't like it is religion. In our religion tattoos are 'forbidden.' really, at least with my father, it's a close-mindedness to them and he uses religion as an excuse to not be ok with them.

I deffended myself on the religious front in the email and told him I'd be glad to discuss my point of view and his, and asked him to respect my opinion regardless.

We'll see how it plays out.

They still don't know I have any now though....so I guess this was really just the second hardest thing to do.

Ugh.
