Ahhh Bali. A more beautiful place I have yet to witness. Its almost hard to believe how fucking gorgeous it is. Its almost too much, almost. I am write to you from yet another airport. This time im in Taipei waiting for my flight back to Canada. I spent the last week of my journey in fair Ubud visiting with a good friend. It was the perfect end to a perfect trip. Ubud is funny, its one of those places that is just too lovable, and it has become the victim of its own success and beauty. Ubud is of course the darling of the soul searching, well heeled yoga set. ITs like a theme park for yogis and yoginis. Of course with that you get all the expected cliches. You have your lonely middle aged ladies looking for love (eat, pray, fuck some local playboy). The endless parade of wide eyed, blissed out yoga babes looking to "find themselves". And of course a whole lotta talk of chakras, 3rd eyes and the like. What was once a quiet haven for local artists and travelling couples on honeymoon has become something of a monster. But despite all of the yuppies and the boring yoga people, there is a lot of amazing things to see there. If you get off the beaten path you can still see the true heart of Bali. A place that is dripping with tradition, culture and some of the most amazing art that you will ever see. The Balinese are beautiful people, and beauty and style radiates from every aspect of life there. Dance, sculpture, ceremony and music abounds without a shred of pretentiousness. It has been a true privilege to see, hear, smell and taste Bali. Ingat salaluk means to never forget. I never will.

Too old and ugly??! Hehe! I AM def going to Thailand but not sure if it'll be on my way there, or on my way home whenever that will be. In my wildest dreams some immigration officer will take pity on me and be like "oh you want to stay? Ok, lets make that happen!"
