"There's a thin line between love and hate, we are no more bound by one than the other..."
I heard that quote and for some reason, it's stayed with me.
This weekend was pretty cool. Didn't get all fuckered up (yup, another version of "fuck" that I love) like originally planned, but turned out to be a pretty fan-fucking-tastic weekend (and another).
LilFleur ended up getting into Chicago early early Saturday morning and to keep her awake on the drive into Indiana, I stayed on the phone with her. Then, of course, we were too busy chattering when she got there, so I think I got a total of 45 minutes of sleep before having to get up for work. Poor Stace had my big comfy bed all to herself to sleep for the next 7 hours. *giggle* It's been a long time since I've gone to work on sleep that can be easily measured in minutes. Back in the good old days of Guam.
Saturday at work was less than perfect, and I discovered once again my body doesn't respond to stress. And as much as I try to will myself to be okay, it just doesn't work. So, when I was suppose to be headed south to spend some time with the family, I ended up hunkering down at home. It all worked out though, so no worries.
Sunday, was NASCAR day. Made tacos and brownies for the Monkey Puppets, and watched Greg Biffle win...(*blah* ). I couldn't wait for the race to end, because we were finally headed out on the lake. Our maiden voyage for the season, and it was just like old times. Warm air, sunsetting in the distance, the water rocking me to day-dreamland, and an ice cold budweiser in my koozie. I love the water. We came home in time for the "L Word" and then Stace went to say bye to her boy and I called mine, and fell asleep. Stace was still gone at 1:30 a.m. when the phone rang again, the subject of a drunk-n-dial. I just LOVE phone calls like that.
I was thinking about Mad-Libs yesterday...remember them? Fill in the blanks. Do you remember when it became funny to put naughty words in the blanks and how funny it would to share them among your friends? Or, am I just a geek? *giggle*
Fill in the blanks....
This weekend, I _______ and it really surprised me when ____________. Next time, I'll __________ instead.

This weekend, I had the chicken vindaloo #10 and it really surprised me when fire actually shot out of my ass. Next time, I'll just get a salad instead.

22 may be the end of cakes. She hasn't offered yet but she's been busy, maybe by the weekend.
