Ended up having a better weekend than I imagined possible giving all the current factors predominate in my life right now.
Some friends and I decided to become adults for an evening, or at least attempt to, and we got dressed up in high fashion to celebrate our general fabulousness. It was, in a word, lovely. Within the laughs and inside jokes of the evening, I found some much needed perspective. (Perspective, the ultimate 4-letter word) Our "fanciness" didn't last long though, as we changed and headed out for a moonlit stroll via boat, along the waters edge. There is something soothing about drifting away (finally understand what Dobie Gray was singing about).
Proceeding to get so drunk I couldn't differentiate between land and water, I was brought home. Drunkity Drunk Drunk. Felt good, gotta say. Jose is always there for a girl in need.
Sunday, went swimming, which is lovely in the middle of September, thanks to the Indian Summer we are smack-dab in the middle of, then off to a BBQ.
Schedule-wise, a great weekend. Small breaks in the main stream thought process, priceless.
QUESTION: Favorite cereal character...?
(something light-hearted for the heaviest of hearts, that seem to be behind every journal entry lately
ME? Snap from Rice Crispies, Snap-Crackle-Pop.
