I am drained. Physically, mentally, and emotionally...It's been a hell of a weekend. It's been amazingly fulfilling, though. My theories on mankind have been tarnished by the love and pure joy that comes from others when you give them a piece of yourself, expecting nothing in return. People are good, you just have to choose the company you keep very carefully.

Part of my weekend included singing at the Veteran's Memorial this afternoon. Thankfully the rain held out, and my Gram was able to go. Her pride overwhelms me, to the point of not being able to look at her without losing myself emotionally. I just adore her. My whole family was there...how wonderfully supportive they are. The only down side of my trip was it was far too short.

On the drive home this afternoon, I watched the rain fall in the sunshine. I love those moments. The rarity of seeing the sun beaming and the sky crying leaves me with a feeling of purpose. Like all things are possible. That, even my craziest dream, is actually reachable. Compromise isn't an option, my heart wants what it wants.

This week is shaping up to be an exciting challenge, and I'm looking forward to facing it head on.

Keep looking for the good, it's out there, I promise. Do something selfless for someone else, and you'll find the good within yourself.
