The beginning of today indicates yesterday is finally over. I have learned, on days of high stakes, it's best to sit softly until the ride comes to a complete stop.

I am most disappointed in my lapse of emotional stability. My current relationship status left a lonely heart searching for a warm body to curl up against into the night. I allowed the wave of emotions to wash over me to the point of drowning before mustering the strength to call my sweet Catie. A voice just to tell me "it's okay."

I understand my standards are high.
I understand my choice to find something better this time.
I understand no matter how much you want to control your heart, you never will be able to.
I understand my heart craves the unattainable.
I also understand that even in my weakest moment, I will never allow myself to settle again.

For the strong-willed personality, weakness is immediately followed by self persecution. No one will ever punish me as fiercely as I punish myself. Weakness is NOT an option.

So, today is not yesterday, and for that I am MOST grateful. Tell me, what are you grateful for today?
