New journal update:
I have been so busy these days to sit down and update, either because I am working or I have some engagement...anyway, this might be a long one...
Two friends of mine are fatherless, I almost lost mine last year and I finished a book two days ago (Roger Kahn's "The boys of summer") so this topic has been very present... It will happen someday, and the certainty of it scares me...
PollyThundercat needs your money, so if you like her and want to help her, go ask her how you can help her to stay in the US for a while more...
(Edited to finish this entry)
My favorite songs for the last three weeks are:
1. The Killers cover of "Romeo and Juliet" recorded live at Abbey Road
2. Joaquin Sabina's "Himno del Atletico de Madrid"
3. Joaquin Sabina's "Cancion para la Magdalena" (a duo con Pablo Milanes)
4. The National's "Fake Empire" (off their latest album, "Boxer")
I recently the first eight volumes of "Fables"by Bill Willingham and others (some I have read before, but the last three volumes I read for the first time) and I loved it, I strongly recommend this to anyone who remembers fondly all the fairy tales of our youth...
I also finished "The Boys of Summer" by Roger Kahn and Max Brooks' "World War Z" and I loved both of them. They are so good that they deserve one whole entry each. I hope I can write more this week...I also finished the latest Jonatha Lethem's novel, "You don't love me yet", another book that deserves a whole entry...
Recently acquired books:
John Updike- "Rabbit, run"
John Kennedy Toole- "A confederacy of dunces" (recommended by Gayballs)
Philip Kerr- "Dark matter"
Philip Roth- "The plot against America"
Christopher Moore- "You suck" (recommended by Keren)
I think I will end this right here and write more later, probably on Tuesday, tons of love to all, have a very beautiful week
