Weekend update:
I had a great day today, because I did of all of these:
1. I went to shop and bought a video game for my brother, "Fight night round 3" and the following books for me: "October 1964" by David Halberstam, "The boys of summer" by Roger Kahn and two "Hellblazer" trade paperbacks: "Reasons to be cheerful" and "Stations of the cross" by Mike Carey, Marcello Frusin and Leonardo Manco. The first two are books about baseball, by the way, by two renowned writers, and I read a few pages off "Boys of summer" and it is mindblowing, beautiful!!
2. I finished yesterday Jonathan Lethem's "The fortress of solitude" and althought the ending was not as good as everything else I still loved this book very much. in fact it is probably my second favorite novel out of everything I read this year (the only one I liked more is "Antes que hiele" by Henning Mankell). I will much into the book now, I will do so later this weekend but for now I wonder if there are more books that deal with racism, form the perspective of a white person in a environment of an overwhelmingly black/hispanic neighborhood. A review of this book will be written and posted here very soon.
3. I will probably go and watch my local futbol team, the PR Islanders on morning, and I hope they win, because I hate ties late in the game, after having nice leads...
I will end this now, I have just one more thing to say: Boca Juniors Campeones, Copa Libertadores 2007!!!
Have a great week you all!!!
