End of week entry:
Lots of stuff happened this week, some good, some sad...
1. My dad is back at home, YAY
but I do not see him changing his unhealthy ways, we shall see how he behaves from now on because his life is at stake...
2. Something happened, of a very personal nature, only very few people know about it, that has me down too, I will not write more about it except that I hope that I do not end up losing a very dear friend and loved one
3. I still have not found another job
Now, enough of the crappy sad news, let us writer about the good stuff:
1. The Red Sox won again today!!! We are in first place and the Yankees are dead last!!! plus we are winning the head to head series 5-1!!!!
2. Barca won 1-0 against Levante, so we are still on top, followed very closely by Real Madrid and Sevilla.
3. The Pachuca game on wednesday against Chivas was a classic one, very intense!! and the Tuzos won on penalties!!!
4. Boca Junior scored 7 goals on thursday!! and they will play Velez Sarsfield on the next round of Copa Libertadores!!
5. The King is dead!! The Bulls destroyed the Miami Heat to move to second round of the NBA playoffs!! Hooray for the new Bulls!
6. I have read a few books and I also got some new ones:
I read the second book in the "Capitan Alatriste" series by Arturo Perez-Reverte titled "Pureza de sangre" and I loved it! It deals with the Spanish Inquisition and the general corruption of the spanish society during the early part of the 17 century. It is a very fun ride, strongly recommended! The other one I finished is another book by the swedish author Henning Mankell and it is titled "Los perros de Riga" and it is about a former Soviet republic in disarray after the collapse of the central goverment and the death of a policemen. Another great book by Mankell. By the way I am reading another book by him, "La leona blanca"and so far it is very very good, I am hooked to this guy's books!!!
I am also currently reading one of my new books, a new biography of the great argentian writer Jorge Luis Borges, written by the latinamerican scholar Edwin Williamson. I have read about three chapters already and so far I love it! I am learning so mucn about the history of Argentina and how those events affected and influenced the writing of the best writer of the 20th century that died without getting the Nobel Prize. It is a huge book, but I want to fininish it soon, so I can read again some of those classic books like "El Aleph" and "Ficciones". The other new bookI I got is "Berlin Noir" by Phillip Kerr, which is a collection of three novels about the same character, a german policeman during the early part of the Third Reich. My friend Armando, a fellow lover of good "police and thieves" novels recommended this author for me, and I will write a review about it as soon as I am done with them.
By the way, I have never read David Halberstam's books but I am very curious and I will get some of his books soon...
I will end this now, but I will write more tomorrow or on tuesday as I am free on both days, have a great week, all of you, I appreciate all the love you directed my family's way

I'm happy about the move, but Phoenix is hot, and I'm not looking forward to that.
