My second and probably last post for the month of December:
First of all, the most important thing to happen this month were my dad second heart attack and hospitalization last Saturday. Thankfully he is better now and he returned home yesterday. I want to thank all of you people who expressed their love and support, especially my love
2. This Xmas season has been terribly busy at work, even thought sales has been poor compared to recent years, needless to say the economy of my country is not the best...
3. I have been tired most of this month, so tired to sit down and write a proper journal entry, so this will probably be a very long entry...
4. Boca Junior lost to Estudiantes the championship of the Torneo de Apertura of the Argentinian league; Chivas defeated Los Diablos Rojos del Toluca to become champions of the Torneo de Apertura in Mexico and Pachuca won the Copa Suramericana beating el Colo Colo of Chile, becoming the first South American tournament ever!! Next week starts the Torneo Interliga classifier of mexican teams, to reach the Copa Libertadores; and on February starts the next round of the UEFA Champions league featuring some great matches!!
5. Among the new books I have read/am reading/own and will read soon include two graphic novels: "Demo" by Bryan Wood and the third one by the author of the great "Box Office Poison", mr. Alex Robinson; three novels by the newest Nobel Price winner of Literature, Orhan Pamuk, including "Nieve", "Me llamo Rojo" and "El libro negro"; the newest book by mexican writer Jorge Volpi; an old one by Philipp Roth; "Fever pitch" by Nick Hornby (I finally have it!!!! and am loving it!!!!!); two books about futbol including one by Enrique Vazquez Montalvan, the great writer and Barca fan, etc.
6. New music this month include music by Nick Cave, Placebo, Band of Horses, the soundtracks to "Stranger than fiction", "Nacho Libre", both "Grey's anatomy", the six mix cd of the "O.C." series, a Phantom Planet album, a Dir en grey album, the latest SFjazz Collective double album among many others...it has been a good month, musically at least...
I think I will finish this now, but hopefully nexy week I will write a Year in review entry and some stuff about the few good things to happen to me this month...tons of love to all, Happy Holidays, Feliz Navidad and Happy New Year y Feliz Ano Nuevo,
