Beginning of week journal entry starts NOW:
1. Not only we should remember what happened five years ago on USA soil ut we should also remember that on same date but on a different decade the Chilean army led by Augusto Pinochet and with cooperation and support of the CIA ended the democratically elected goverment of Salvador Allende, assasinated Allende and started one of the bloodiest and more disgusting chapters in contemporary history, killing and torturing many people, whose only crime was that they held different thoughts and ideas. So, never forget this, "Prohibido olvidar"...
2. While I am writing about Chile I would like to invite all spanish=speaking people who read this to visit the blog of journalist Marisol Garcia. I just discovered her on one of the latest issues of Gato Pardo (my favorite magazine right now, only the best young writers, and some of the older writers, of Latinamerica) where she wrote of the May student's protests for the right to better schools and education, against Bachelet's goverment. It is a very beautiful article, it will make you cry...She also writes about music, a lot!! She has interviewed the most important Chilean musical artists: from Lucybell and Los Tres to the Parra family, also she has interviewed many of the most important contemporary artists right now, and she has a bunch of those writings in her blog archive...plus, she is very cute, and she likes Sonic Youth, whenever I am without any kind of romantic love I dream of girls I would love to meet, and I dreamnt of meeting a girl who wrote beautifully, was rather handsome and loved Sonic Youth, so yeah, go read her blog, those who can...

to me they are just easy listening, but i haven't been to a gig for an age, so anything will do plus i can't wait to see my daughters face when her idols come on stage, it's also her first gig.
i love the smurfs too and i think it's brilliant that the kids of today love them.
