End of week update:
Tonight, in less than two hours, the semifinal matches of the FIBA Male Championships will start. Th first game will be between team Argentina and team Spain, and I hope Argentina wins!!!!!
They are my favs to win it all too, althought I will feel bad for Spain, I would have loved for them to play Argentina in the last game, for the Gold, instead of now. The second game will between team USA and team Greece, and I hope the greeks destroy the yanks big time. (long time readers of this blog know how much I like the USA teams, on any sport, hahaha
)
I have some new music (actually, this will be a very musical entry)
1. the new Roots album, which I have heard once so far and loved it!! Very happy music, fun to walk with, run with, etc. They sound fucking joyful in this new album!
2. the new Tego Calderon, which is fucking awesome (except one song, I guess he includes one awful song on each album he records, this one is so bad you have to skip it), and in it he tries to new shit, like dancehall, plus he keeps distancing from all the other reggaeton performers, which is good too.
3. the new Cursive album, which is pretty good, strong, pretty energetic music.
4. Lambchop's "Decline of country and westerna civilization volume two". This is ia band I have loved for a while, althought I do not own all their albums, I really should. They are releasing a new album in a couple of weeks too, which I plan to get as soon as it is released. If you like Nick Cave, Tindersticks and Tom Waits, you might like this band too. I could listen to any album by them every time I go to sleep and its sad that they are not superbly popular.
If you check out what cd's will be released in the next few months, including both new cd's and reisssues of old stuff, you know that the Xmas season is coming!! There are new Cure reissues, Jesus and Mary Chain reissues (they have been out of print in the US in a while too), Pogues reissues (they have been out of print too), plus new Mars Volta, new My Chemical Romance, new Kinky, tons of new reissues of the old Fania label, new Silvio Rodriguez, new Brazilian Girls, the Pipettes debut, etc. So I need tons of money soon!
What I have listening and liking recently:
Besides all those things previously mentioned on this entry I have been enjoying the Decemberists, Pink Floyd, the Bad Plus, Nick Cave, Balun, tons of Wilco, some Van Morrison, the Elvis Costello album he recorded with Allen Toussaint, etc. I have to add new stuff to my ipods thought, get stuff out, put new stuff in!!
I think this will be all, have a good long weekend you all, tons of love to everyone!
Last but not least, I love you
