The "I am very fucking tired and lits late at night"update:
I just got back from work, read the Delores concert update, which ruled, I wish that when I went to music gigs the artist where as friendly and cool as Nada Surf where with her and her friend.
So work was not bad, had some laughs, got some cd's (the latest Sigur Ros, which I already had as a gift copy, old albums by the Flaming Lips and the Meat Puppets (which I saw live around 1994 with the Urge Overkill in San Juan and they both ruled!!!!!!!) and also a double album by the Chieftains. By the way, I am very into Irish folk music, some of you might know I LOVE THE POGUES!!, but I have been listening to a lot of Clancy brothers and I want to get albums by the Dubliners soon.
Last thing: I saw two movies today, "The night porter" by Lilliana Cavani and also the latest Julianne Moore movie, titled "Freedomland" and directed by Joe Roth. Both were great, the first one probably is better because it is very ambitious and mostly sucessful in its exploration of the way some Holocaust victims and their executioners might have felt. The latter movie, while not attempting to be a "movie event" does what it attempts very well. It felt like a very gritty hybrid between an episode of "The Wire" with a plot out of the writers of "Whitout a trace", with great acting, especially of the stars, but also from many of the supporting cast, which fans of "the Wire" will recognize, and also with a script from the great Richard Price, a must-see for fans of urban crime stories.
That is all because I am fucking tired, bye

the weirdest part about seeing the white stripes, is that their live performance is so satisfying, that i'm usually left utterly content.
and of the handful of musicians i've met (Green Day, The Donnas, The Lunachicks, Dicky Barret from the mighty mighty bosstones, Rivers & Patrick from Weezer, etc), not one of them has ever been even half as cool as the boys from Nada Surf have always been through out the nearly 10 years that i've been attending their live shows (they have only been here lik 6 times though. arizona sucks)
sorry for the ramble
