Midweek update (?)
Okay, first of all, the following will be stuff I think I forgot to write down:
1. I got a "Serenity" shirt at Hot Topics yesterday and I love it!!! I really want also a "FullMetal Alchemist shirt", and "Angel" shirt and also a "Buffy the vampire slayer" shirt. By the way, I also want a "Harry Potter"'s Hogwarts shirt, but they are hard to find unless you order online. Oh, and I want a Faint shirt, and a particular Slayer shirt, the one with the pentagram in the front, that one rules!!!
2. I finished my second reading of "Vida feliz de un joven llamado Esteban" by Santiago Gamboa, and I loved it again.
3. Afterwards I started reading my new "Batman" books and loved them. I realized how similar Jack Bauer from "24" and Bruce Wayne are, loners and bad-ass, and with a very rigid morality. Like, for example, Bauer's patriotism and empathy toward inoccent civilians justifies torture, which is something very hard and extreme to allow or commit.
Okay, besides that, today I finally got thru the end of the "X-files" "Mythology" storyline. I loved the last episode!! I have heard so many bad things about it that I thought I would hate it, but instead I felt very satisfied. It was not nearly as good as some other series finales but still it was something that Chris Carter and the whole group of people involved with the show can feel proud. I feel sad and worried for the characters, knowing that they are not safe, thought. Scully is such a beautiful person, and Mulder too, and its hard to see them suffer for so long...
When will Chris Carter come up with something as good as this?????????????????????????
I started reading "American Pastoral" by Philipp Roth and am loving it!! Way better than the other prose novel I am reading, I think I will stick with this one and end the other one later.
Tomorrow I will work until after midnight again, and I close shop all the way into the weekend, but such is work, whatever...
