I really want some warm French toast.
We received some presents from my soon-to-be mother-in-law. Jeremy told me she wrote what the presents are in each of their to/from tags, haha... I haven't yet peeked at my gift tags. I was told that she already opened her gift from Jeremy so we can open ours...but I think I'll wait 'til Christmas because otherwise I won't have anything to look forward to that morning.
We found this yummy Mint Chocolate hot cocoa mix by Target's own Archer Farms brand. Goddamn, I love Target. Like most cocoas, it says to mix with hot water (but I usually use milk instead because otherwise it just tastes like ...water). We followed the instructions and it turned out pretty delicious. I'm also quite fond of the packaging. It comes in this airtight container that I'll probably use for presents after I wash it out. We went through one can in less than a week because some nights we'd have more than one cup each. There are only 9 servings per can, it says... Also, we went to the Target on Bellflower and learned that there's like a dozen other cocoa flavors. I want to try the toffee kind. I love hot beverages. Also also, Archer Farms has some of THE best snacks ever. Oh yeah, awhile ago I picked up some unsweetened chai mix from Trader Joe's. I used to get the sweetened kind, but it was always way too sweet, and if I put less mix, it would taste too watery. So this unsweetened stuff is pretty good when I mix a couple spoonfuls of honey into it. I'd also like to point out the proud little fact that I am awesome when it comes to keeping the honey bottle sticky-free. It's not that hard...
On a more serious note, there have been countless times where I found myself literally standing on the edge, especially recently. If it weren't for my amazing friends and family, I wouldn't be here right now... They are constant reminders of how fortunate I truly am.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. Be good to yourselves.
