Didn't experience any waiting in line. Not sure if that is good or bad, but Rhode Island is pretty much a "gimmie" for the Democratic presidential candidate anyway.

We have a couple of important state questions on the ballot as well. Hopefully Rhode Islanders are smart enough to approve question #1 so we can get some of these decrepit roads and bridges fixed. We have...

I got to my polling place and there was this ridiculous line. I stood there for a bout a minute when I guy came out and said "anyone with the last name L-Z?" I got all excited and was out of there in no time when it was pretty obvious that some of the people in line had been there for about an hour.

I agree about the ads. That was really dumb.

I dislike "fall back".

Rather than get an hour extra of sleep, I'm up at the usual time my internal clock is set for. 5am... except instead it's now 4am. And I waste that time away being both tired but not sleepy, if that makes any sense.

Not having a ton of success on the dating front lately. Met or talked to a number of...

I would go back to school just for the whole tuition-reimbursment deal. But if you're happy with what you're doing, why bother? Just my opinion....

I am Eli the truck driver.

I am a Libertarian living in a predominantly democratic area.

I have, in fact, never voted for a democratic Presidential candidate.

I make (way) less than $250,000 per year.

99.9% of all plumbers make less than $250,000 per year.

I would pay significantly less taxes under the Obama plan. Compare your own.

I am horrified at the prospect of...

Anyone who's read my blog more than once knows that I am a professional truck driver. I have had a commercial driver's license since 1997. Since then, I have had a total of 5 different driving jobs, the bulk of that time with FedEx Express and the small long-haul carrier Pohl Transportation out of Ohio. I am now very happily employed by a division of...

I tend to think that McCain picked Palin to help distract people from the fact that the republicans have zero to offer america. Seems to be backfiring a bit which is a good thing.

One could tear the republicans apart all day but I'll just say that their Country First slogan is extremely disingenous and its popularity reflects very negatively on american intelligence. I guess you could say that the war on terror has been successful, there have been no terrorist attacks since 9/11 and it has only cost us 4000 american lives, 750 billion dollars, and any any moral positon we might ever have had to condemn something like the chinese occupation of tibet. Whatever.

I've also seen them heaps they drive in mexico. Maybe people will demand action if a door or something falls off one and kills somebody.

I thought I already replied to this blog. hmmmm

I have to vote tonight.

So we are looking at 2009 VW's. We also looked at Toyota. I was pretty unimpressed.
We don't have the best credit though so I am not sure what to do.

The Red Sox are just amazing. I've been pretty pessimistic for the last few days since the Rays have been playing outstanding baseball. Hitting most everything thrown their way as if it was a home-run derby.

But it's a mistake to ever count out the world champs. The champions of The Comeback.

ALCS game SEVEN tomorrow night. It all comes down to this one game....

I'm on the verge of buying an iPod touch. But I hesitate, because Verizon is soon introducing a new touch-screen Blackberry called the Storm. Touted as a genuine "iPhone killer". The main disadvantage I see to buying what I would otherwise consider a nearly perfect multimedia player (the iPod Touch) is the fact that I'd still have to carry an entirely separate telephone. It...

I have an iPod touch and I fucking love it!

I use it absolutely everyday. I put scrabble on it, and rounders, and all my music. I can also sit at Damons (a rip place in town) and check out boobies on SG when there is wi-fi around.

I fucking love mine. But yeah, I hate hate hate hate having to carrry a phone around too!

I used to really respect Senator John McCain. I supported and voted for him in the 2000 primary. But lately I am downright disgusted by the things he and his campaign have been saying. I seem to recall that he stated "I will not take the low road to the highest office in the land.". So much for that.

Time to re-invent leadership.

The funny thing here is that the answer about foreign policy experience was genuinely what Sarah Palin said. Word for word. The rest, of course, is a parody. biggrin

Finally getting around to watching the season 2 DVDs of "Heroes". I figure now that I have a normal job I ought to be able to keep current with a few television shows. I just have to catch up.

I've been giving serious consideration to adding Showtime to my cable package because the third season of "Dexter" is about to start. But the bill is...
