Today's random thoughts:
-I've been contemplating growing out the beard. Like the whole beard, not just the goatee or that chin-only deal I sometimes go with. But I shave my head. Usually a couple times a week since I'm too lazy to do it daily. Not sure how to make that transition not look stupid. I dunno. Just a thought.
-That new Sorrow set is pretty freakin' hot. Although the all-caps blog thing is kind of annoying. I'm inching closer towards being POTENTIALLY old enough to be the father of a suicide girl. At least the very young ones. That's depressing. Almost 36. I don't mind being 36... I just mind that I'm still attracted to 19 year-olds. On that note: major love to all the 30+ SGs. Not only just as hot -- but still remember what life was like when we didn't all have cell phones and the internet.
-The withdrawal of Rudy Giuliani shouldn't be much of a surprise to anyone. I don't know what he was thinking anyhow. And frankly... despite his views perhaps less alarming than some other republicans this election (read: Huckabee), he never instilled me with much of a sense of confidence that he was ready to be the chief executive.
-Every time I hear someone imply that Hillary Clinton has more experience than Barack Obama I want to karate-chop them. Which of course would be a lot funnier than punching or slapping. But the point here is that she isn't. Being the WIFE OF a politician is not an elected office. That doesn't count. The FACT is, she's relatively new to the senate. So is Mr. Obama. If people really wanted to elect the most experienced democrat, it would have been Chris Dodd. End of discussion.
-Why does she have to YELL SO MUCH ALL THE TIME IN THAT GRATING MONOTONE!!!11!1one!11!? Please STFU already. Or just relax. Honestly, the way that Barack speaks is one of the reasons I find him so very inspirational. Hillary has none of that charisma. None. All I see is a woman who has spent her life positioning herself for power and opportunity. She could be the poster child for democratic status-quo. Isn't it time we shook things up a bit?
The fact that she's a woman is (and should be) completely irrelevant. Why is it that whenever a man criticizes her he's bashed for being sexist, but it is okay for the National Organization of Women to support her just BECAUSE she's a woman? And cry foul over Teddy's endorsement of Barack.
It's bullshit. Double-standard bullshit.
In my best Kennedy accent: "Er ah -- you should be glad I didn't endorse Grey Goose. Have you seen my head? It's enormous!"
I'd love a woman to lead this country. We could use some of that. But she, in particular, is not the best we can do.
-Smart move by Edwards to not pick someone to endorse yet. Despite him saying he's "been there, done that" he seems to me to remain the best VP choice for either remaining democrat. They sure as hell wont pick each other, and in the case of Hillary I doubt most seriously she'd accept the second chair anyhow. Frankly for either of them... you can be a much more influential politician as a senator. The VP is a do-nothing job. Unless someone dies. Or you have to break a senatorial tie.
But Edwards has a unique opportunity here. He could potentially sway the nomination, assuming his followers actually listen to any endorsement he might offer. But biding his time lets the two that remain both woo him. And he MAY in fact have his eyes on the vice presidency. He's unemployed, after all. Better to wait than to burn one of these two bridges.
-The one time I leave my boots at home (they needed a busted seam repaired), I go to a pickup in a yard FILLED with wet, slippery mud. Ugh. My sneakers are in need of a wash, and I tracked this clay-mud all into my truck. Couldn't be helped.

I am pissed however that I found out that Chuck Norris is a fucking republican!!!
WTF Chuck??
"Chuck Norris can win a game of connect four in three moves!"
--Not if his punk ass votes republican, then it might take 6 moves!!
Oh yeah, and CHICKS dig it too!
Wait a minute, that means you and I should be rolling in the ladies then?
I give up.
That Chuck Norris Google thing made me laugh out loud!
I too am a fan of your blogs!
I still feel bad you can't poop where ever you want to though!
(sorry, we have been talking about pooping lots at work lately)
(pooping and boobs. I like talking about the latter more though)
Hope things are rad with you. If you happen to be down around my hometown and want to set it on fire next time you are there, feel free!
