Weekends are my favorite time to work. Trucking is always a lot easier, because it usually means just driving and not the annoying rigmarole of being loaded and unloaded every day. I set my own schedule. Sometimes I get an early start... sometimes I sleep in. And parking is always a lot easier to find. This weekend, I have a lazy trip. I got loaded down in Miami yesterday afternoon with cargo headed for Charlotte, North Carolina. That isn't a very long trip, and I'm really milking it and having some easy days. drove less than 5 hours today and landed in Brunswick, Georgia. Tomorrow I'll have the same schedule and finish up in Rock Hill, South Carolina. That'll just leave a stone throw into Charlotte on Monday morning.
All this free time and no bicycle. Such a shame... and I'm certain that once I have it, I wont be able to imagine trucking life without it. What a great investment.
I'm out of DVDs to watch. Drat. I have a whole bunch of new ones waiting at home that I've ordered... including seasons two and three of "Oz". In the meantime I might get around to playing some Neverwinter Nights 2. I got it some time ago and enjoyed it a bit... then lost interest leaving it unfinished. That's a shame. So perhaps I will.

I tend to be fixated on Coke because their drivers work four ten-hour days and that would seriously rock. but within a couple miles of my house there are several trucking companies. Sullivan, overnite, estes, van-pak,
AR, fedex, couple others. I just worry none of them will hire me with my accident record.
Couple of straight trucks here at the truck stop got me thinking, and you mentioned it before yourself, about having seen an ad to drive straight trucks for 1.25 a mile. owner op obviously. I wonder how that is, would you need down payment or anything.
Just now Werner was giving me shit about wanting to take a 34 hour reset as i only got back 6 hrs today and will only get 3.75 back tonight. My dispatcher felt it would be better for me to work today and tomorrow but I don't really get why he thinks so. whatever.
