Monday was a long day. I actually drove further than Friday through Sunday combined. It was 700'ish miles. Not the longest day ever, nor the hardest. But... that's certainly enough to make anyone tired. The good news was that I managed to get in and out of New Jersey this morning with absolutely no bullshit. I was shocked. Fuck New Jersey anyway just for being the shittiest state.
Tonight I'm in Ashtabula, Ohio. Or the Flying J in that general area. I've had a few days now where I've done some off-the-beaten-path driving. Sometimes that is a good thing. Great to see new roads from time to time... or at least roads less traveled. I did a bit of back road trekking through Pennsylvania today while going from Jersey to Huntingdon, PA. And over the weekend I took some secondary roads through Indiana. Sure is a shit ton of corn being planted this year.
My diet isn't going so well lately. I was doing great for a while. Dropped 30 pounds. But in the last month I've put a few back on since I have very low willpower when it comes to breakfast type foods. Sometimes when there's an all-you-can-eat French Toast thing going on... well... lets just say I get my money's worth. Not sure if I feel guilty about this or not.
I'm going to Walt Disney World at the end of September with my mother and one of my sisters. I have been quite a few times before, but not for a good 5 or so years now. And the last time there was with the ex-wife. So it'll be nice to go with a couple of ladies I still actually like this time. And the biggest treat of all is that we'll be staying ON Disney property. In the Polynesian hotel actually, since that is right ON the monorail line (which means we can take the monorail directly to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot). Still need a bus for MGM and Animal Kingdom but I'm not complaining. We have a non-stop flight with complimentary shuttle and luggage retrieval service from the airport to our hotel rooms. Plus I opted for the meal plan. I pretty much took care of everything (I think). Should be an awesome 5 days so long as we don't get socked by a hurricane.

Taxes or no taxes...I'd rather pay more taxes and know that I'll ge the help I need in the end. Plus we have free education over here which makes it possible for a por fuck like me to actually be something - someday, without getting into huge debt.
Have fun at Disney! I bet it'll be nice to have an actual vacation and not have to do any driving.
