Got to the Flying J in Lowell, Indiana relatively early. Anywhere "close" to Chicago... and you must get to the truck stops early if you expect there to be parking available. I have a 7am appointment in Joliet in the morning. Since it's Central time here, I can wake up at 6am my time and still make the 65 mile trip with time to spare. USUALLY the traffic problems don't begin until later. And they've cleaned up a lot of the construction cluster that's been plaguing this area for the last few years. If I can get in and out without much of a headache, that will be my 2nd time in a row for the Chi-town area. I'll be impressed if that occurs, and I might have to consider changing my negative opinion of this area (as far as driving is concerned, that is).
I expect to be home on Monday, and I intend to stay for a week. That'll be a nice break. I have a lot of shit to take care of. I wont be taking a "real" vacation until fall though. Not sure what I'll do yet. My mother is retired and "alone" so she'd like to go to Disney. Sounds corny, but perhaps I'll take her.
Nothing much else notable going on aside from the fact that my truck is working fine lately. I'm shocked because I swear there were gremlins in the air conditioning and cruise control. But knock on wood, both have worked continuously since my last visit to the Pohl shop.

I'm at 26cpm. Slave labor. But after 30 days i could do northeast regional for 36 cpm, or see what else i might be able to do. In retrospect i suspect that your recommendation of doing us xpress was probably sound, but i'm just hangin in there with swift. Hard to say what reasons for doing or not doing whatever are sound or unsound at this point. one needs more knowledge.
