So I extended my time at home, somewhat against my better judgement. Now I have an extremely long day of driving ahead of me... and I'm even procrastinating about that because I'd really like to get an eggplant and sun-dried tomato omelette at the Modern Diner. And "fall back" sucks by the way. I mean... one extra hour of sleep once a year isn't enough to make up for it being dark by 4:30 in the afternoon. Fuck that shit.
Anyhow, my destination is Findlay, Ohio. The hometown and not-so-favorite place of Obeypabst. It looks like a nice place to me, honestly. But then again, I didn't grow up there. It is a frequent destination of mine though, since there is a Kohl's distribution center there and several of their suppliers are in New England. 740 miles, give or take a bit. And about 200 of those in Ohio where the speed limit is 55 for trucks. Bah.
Helped my mother move into a new apartment this weekend. Moving always sucks. There was at least twice I got soaked in the torrential downpours on Saturday, and one incident of being locked out barefoot. But everyone survived and to be honest, the new place is great. Central air, slightly larger, nice windows (good for cats). I got her computer set up with the WiFi router (mostly for my own sake when I visit). But now I feel the need to pay my sister to go clean up her old place because... my mother clearly is over-exerting herself when I'm not looking. For someone with MS who can barely walk by the end of the day, that's not a good thing.
I'd like somebody to pay me $55,000 to sit home and play World of Warcraft please. Get right on that if you can.
I'm off. Time to hit the road... right after I go get that omelette.
